Work Gratification

Work Gratification

The reason I'm writing this article is to impress upon you the importance of being in control of your work situation. We spend such a large amount of our time away at work you should not be unhappy to go to work. In order to correct this, you need an understanding how to control the situation.

What are the components of work gratification?
1. The work to be done
2. Beginning to end results
3. Sense of accomplishment
4. Just busy, no point in trying
5. Trap of position
6. Proactive or Reactive
7. Control Levels
8. Ability to influence
9. Help Levels
10. Comfort Zone

OK, lets start with the Work to be Done. Do you feel the work is important to you and others. If you just found a job for the sake of just working, you may find that your work is lacking. Low productively, quality and no sense of urgency. If at all possible find something you believe in, by luck or persistence. It is as easy as taking charge of your choices, do not just settle for anything not right for you.

Beginning to end results. What I mean here is, not everyone has a job that lets you go from start to finish. Think of it as an assembly line. There are a lot of work cells doing a small part of the total job for a complete end product. This normally results in low satisfaction. You need to see a project develop, be put together and finally to completion. Office jobs tend to be the worst. Most people have a never ending inbox with an outbox they never seem to be able to fill.

Sense of accomplishment. The need to feel you are doing something important. The finishing of a job without purpose is a real problem. It brings down self worth and the person and job suffer.

Just busy, no point in trying. This is a point people reach when they feel the effects of the first three points covered. Understanding why your attitude and mind set are affected can help to improve your outlook and productively. Your attitude is the key to it all. You need to protect your attitude at all cost. Companies and personnel alike often over look this point and suffer greatly.

Trap of Position. This is how most companies try to improve productivity. They give you a title and a bit more money, yet they expect double the work results. At first they are happy only to realize later what they got themselves into by taking the title position. Companies rarely promote the best person for the job, but focus on the persons they feel they can control. Look long term and add up the hours to pay out before jumping on a title. See it for what it truly gives you.

Proactive or Reactive. Does your job allow you to be proactive being in charge, making decisions and controlling the work situation. A reactive environment allows you no control and you can only react to the happenings of your day to day affairs. It is easy to see which is more favorable.

Control Levels. How much control does your job allow? This effects attitude and self-esteem. It is a trust issue. Too many companies over look this issue. Personnel need to feel trusted enough to control the work environment. If a person feels trusted their productivity is high, but if they feel they are not then everything diminishes.

Ability to influence. Influences on a positive note are what we strive for but most often we feel only the negative. We want to feel our influences are favorable and impact people positively.

Help Levels. People want to feel they have the support of those around them, not left out by themselves. People become overwhelmed and feel better if they think there is help around them, even if they do not ask for or use it. The idea it is there is reassuring.

Comfort Zone. Too many people get complacent, they fall into a comfort zone and become stagnant. This tears down ones self-esteem and confidence. One must feel they can better themselves and reach new levels. Challenges met and completed build confidence, improve productively and attitudes.

Now with this said, keeping in mind you yourself are the controlling factor. What should we do with this information. Review your work situation and see if it is really what you want. More and more people are coming to realize that working for the companies big or small, just do not get much work gratification. The Internet is flooded with people looking for better jobs and ideas allowing them more freedom. Have patience and look for work opportunities that offer superior support, training and freedom. Review time commitments and company mission (Are they providing products or services you would be proud of ?). See yourself for what you are and take your strengths and find a work opportunity that compliments you.

Eye See Freedom ..!

Eye See Freedom ..!

I see freedom in these so called bad times. We have been amazed at the quality and quantity of people in search of alternatives to the economic woes of today.

The corporations have let down the people who have built them up and rewarded them with layoffs, down sizing and many just closing their doors forever. This has left the masses in a state of panic..! Too many well paid professionals are finding there is no market for their skills. Their lives changing forever. Now wondering what to do.

With the quagmire of the economy many are looking to a business of their own. No more bosses to deal with. No more shaky companies that show no loyalty to their people. They want to be in control and for most this is the first time ever. They just want the security of being in charge. Regaining control of their time, monies and future.

Our business is just booming and we thank the intelligence of these people for seeking us out. This is why I say “Eye See Freedom”. Our business is about helping people to develop personal freedom and have them do the same for others. Like the movie “Pay it forward”. If everyone would help others and pass on the ideals to the next, what a wonderful place the world would be!

We offer individuals and business owners alike free training and business coaching. If you are in need of help contact us at dmantaz@gmail.com for more information.

Time For Starting A Business..!

Now Is The Correct Time For Starting A Business..!

This is an overview as to why you should start a business for yourself. The internet is being overwhelmed with an ever growing wave of people dissatisfied with Corporate Affairs. The time has passed where a person goes to work for a company and stays till retirement. Whole families would carry on the legacy of total loyalty to one company. This time is dying out not to return. Companies now view personnel as disposable and short term only. Far too many loyal employees are coming to work only to find a pink slip or the doors locked forever. The Corporations value the bottom line as priority one.

Take action in your best interest. Actively review your job situation. Does your company have a positive history with their employees? Your life security depends on watching for the signs of stormy weather. Do you have people around you being held back from moving up in the company? Even worse, are you being held back? We are seeing people asked or pressured to step down from earned positions at reduced pay in order to keep working. If they do not agree, then the pink slip comes out. Do you feel or have been lead to believe you have the possibility of advancement with a defined time line? The higher up the management chain, the fewer the positions. Unfortunately the positions tend to be reserved for family and friends over those who work hard and honestly. Can you look your company in the eye and feel you are being rewarded for your efforts? If so then you are one of the rare few. Remember loyalty should work both ways.

I simply suggest you change your mind set. People are taking charge of their futures. You are your best insurance policy. Corporations condition you to stay with the programed corporate structure. They would like you to believe everything else is some sort of pyramid. 80% or more of the company is made up of the work force making up the base. There is a small group of middle management and a smaller group of upper management. You draw this out and it forms a true pyramid. This is a one sided ploy to stop or slow change. Being a long time practice. Used to make employees unsure and less likely to leave or strike out on your own.

So how should you protect yourself? You can try to work multiple jobs but it is a large commitment of time, hard on you and harder on love ones. Burn out is the only guarantee. You can purchase a franchise but most do not have the resources. You can try to start a brick and mortar business. There is always high risk with developing a new untried and unproven business model. Few are successful, most fail with in 2 to 5 years. This is why the internet is seeing such a large surge of popularity. We suggest you start small and part time, testing the waters to see what fits your needs. Customize a business plan for yourself. The benefits to this method is less stress, improved security, reclaimed personal time and most important, your freedom. As you start to master your new business you can work to completely replace your original job. This is the real goal and the reason we want to build our dream business. When you have a solid business built, you now have something you can pass onto your heirs to improve their position in life or sell out right. No matter what or why, just get started. Do not over think it or only dream about it. It is too important to let it just sit. Remember if you keep doing the same thing over and over again, it is defined as crazy to expect different or better results. The next article will be on how to target a business right for you.
