Time For Starting A Business..!

Now Is The Correct Time For Starting A Business..!

This is an overview as to why you should start a business for yourself. The internet is being overwhelmed with an ever growing wave of people dissatisfied with Corporate Affairs. The time has passed where a person goes to work for a company and stays till retirement. Whole families would carry on the legacy of total loyalty to one company. This time is dying out not to return. Companies now view personnel as disposable and short term only. Far too many loyal employees are coming to work only to find a pink slip or the doors locked forever. The Corporations value the bottom line as priority one.

Take action in your best interest. Actively review your job situation. Does your company have a positive history with their employees? Your life security depends on watching for the signs of stormy weather. Do you have people around you being held back from moving up in the company? Even worse, are you being held back? We are seeing people asked or pressured to step down from earned positions at reduced pay in order to keep working. If they do not agree, then the pink slip comes out. Do you feel or have been lead to believe you have the possibility of advancement with a defined time line? The higher up the management chain, the fewer the positions. Unfortunately the positions tend to be reserved for family and friends over those who work hard and honestly. Can you look your company in the eye and feel you are being rewarded for your efforts? If so then you are one of the rare few. Remember loyalty should work both ways.

I simply suggest you change your mind set. People are taking charge of their futures. You are your best insurance policy. Corporations condition you to stay with the programed corporate structure. They would like you to believe everything else is some sort of pyramid. 80% or more of the company is made up of the work force making up the base. There is a small group of middle management and a smaller group of upper management. You draw this out and it forms a true pyramid. This is a one sided ploy to stop or slow change. Being a long time practice. Used to make employees unsure and less likely to leave or strike out on your own.

So how should you protect yourself? You can try to work multiple jobs but it is a large commitment of time, hard on you and harder on love ones. Burn out is the only guarantee. You can purchase a franchise but most do not have the resources. You can try to start a brick and mortar business. There is always high risk with developing a new untried and unproven business model. Few are successful, most fail with in 2 to 5 years. This is why the internet is seeing such a large surge of popularity. We suggest you start small and part time, testing the waters to see what fits your needs. Customize a business plan for yourself. The benefits to this method is less stress, improved security, reclaimed personal time and most important, your freedom. As you start to master your new business you can work to completely replace your original job. This is the real goal and the reason we want to build our dream business. When you have a solid business built, you now have something you can pass onto your heirs to improve their position in life or sell out right. No matter what or why, just get started. Do not over think it or only dream about it. It is too important to let it just sit. Remember if you keep doing the same thing over and over again, it is defined as crazy to expect different or better results. The next article will be on how to target a business right for you.

To the New Year...! Setting and Achieving Goals

I had a friend pass on to me a presentation by Bill Bartman, the past owner of the Chicago Bulls. It was on Setting & Achieving Goals. OK it is the new year so everyone is saying they are going to change all the bad things of 2008. I really enjoyed this so I'm going to highlight the presentation for you.
  1. Make sure it's YOUR GOAL, something you truly want for yourself.
  2. Don't call it a Goal....! A Harvard Study shows that 70% of all goals are not reached or completed. Yet, 98% of all Promises are kept. You should delete the term Goal and insert Promise instead. It is based on the subconscious level of how the mind works. No one wants to break a promise to anyone or themselves. The subconscious is very strong and more controlling than most of us think. So it is best to understand it and use it to our favor.
  3. Clearly identify your promise. To say I want more money is not enough, add an amount, take a bank deposit slip out and write down the amount, then post it on your bathroom mirror so you see it every day. If you want a new car or truck, write down the type, get photos, brochures, test drive one. Think touch, feel, taste, smell and see, the five senses. This makes it real, not a random thought.
  4. Use the tools around you. The people close to and around you. Make it a team effort. They need not know they are helping you with your promise. You have positive & negative motivators both in people and ideas. Positive motivators are the good reasons you want and need. The negative motivators are the persons or situations you use to show you can. Use that family member or friend who is always saying you can not do it and continually keep putting you down. Take their photo or write down their name and keep it where you can see it. Every time you have second thoughts about completing the task, look at it and remember what they said. More importantly, the look on their face when you complete the task.
  5. Create a Promise Plan. a) What - what it is to do. b) When - when will you accomplish - mile markers / time lines. c) Where - where will you be when it happens. d) Why - why do you want this. e) Who - who do you need to help. f) How - how are you going to do this.
  6. Review your Promise Plan on a regular bases. At least 20 minutes every day. Consciously, you begin to think about it, ideas, develop and create solutions. Subconsciously, it becomes important, real and an obsession. Very important to put up visual reinforcements where you can see them throughout the day. On the bathroom mirror, refrigerator door, auto dashboard, and etc. This adds to the reinforcement of the obsession.
  7. Tell yourself you will succeed. DON'T put yourself down. BUILD yourself up...! Your voice is the most important voice you hear. You need to say to yourself all the things you need to hear every day so stay positive.
  8. Tell others about your Promise. No one wants to look bad in front of others and if you can not tell others, then you lack commitment. Telling others increases your commitment level.
  9. Envision your results. Build a movie in your mind where you complete the task and how you will feel. Play this movie often.
  10. START...! Do not fear the past and do not fear the future, so take the first step...!
